Buffalo Peak Golf Resort

Buffalo Peak Golf Course is an 18-hole course owned and managed by Union County, Oregon. Buffalo Peak is located on the edge of the small Eastern Oregon community of Union, just sixteen miles southeast of La Grande. Highlights of the course include a dramatic landscape with views of the Grande Ronde Valley and surrounding Wallowa and Blue Mountain ranges, ponds, and fountains. Where untamed beauty mingles with manicured splendor against a stunning backdrop of the Blue Mountains, Buffalo Peak Golf Course captures the true spirit of links-style golf. 

 

 

Wallowa Lake Tramway

Wallowa Lake Tramway is located in the Wallowa Whitman National Forest and operates under a special use permit from the USDA and Forest Service. With the opening of the gondola in 1970, Wallowa County added one of it's most popular attractions.  The 3700' vertical foot ascent to the summit of Mt. Howard is a memorable experience. The exciting trip to the top of the mountain allows one to enjoy the view as the gondola rises above the Wallowa Lake Village and the blue waters of Wallowa Lake.

Wallowa Lake Tramway offers gondola transportation for you and your bike to the top of Mt. Howard at 8,150 feet. The scenic summit of Mt. Howard sits high above Wallowa Lake. Here you will enjoy several amenities, a scenic restaurant and miles of hiking trails with a multitude of breathtaking viewpoints.
