OVERVIEW
This is a department head position responsible of oversight of the daily food operations, including events and banquets requiring food service at the Summit Grill at Wallowa Lake Tramway. The WLT Manager of F&B is expected to provide day-to-day direction and oversight for the entire F&B team at WLT and to ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations for the food and beverage lines of business. The Summit Grill Manager collaborates with Wallowa Lake Tramway (WLT) President in employee training to develop and prepare employee scheduling and Summit Grill menu and food products and merchandise for final approval by the WLT Board of Directors to ensure the F&B experience aligns with and contributes to resort-wide brand and culture goals and objectives. As a member of the leadership team, the Food and Beverage Manager interacts with all leadership positions in the company and fosters a strong teamwork ethic, advise ALL level cooks and/or management of anticipated problems.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/MAJOR RESPONSIBILITY
- Maintain all organizational aspects within F&B operations, including employee safety, staffing, systems, processes and standards CASJH AND PRODUCRT CONTROLS
- Oversee daily department leads for food preparation and product acquisition
- Collaborate delivery of the F&B experience for resort events
- Oversee delivery of the F&B experience for private events, banquets, and weddings
- Works with corporate executives to monitor the financial performance of the F&B Department and ensure financial performance meets or exceeds budget, to the extent possible, based on resort goals
- Ensure that the F&B outlet at the Summit Grill exhibit excellence in operational and appearance standards, embrace contemporary cuisine culture, and properly reflects the Wallowa Lake Tramway brand
- Ensure compliance with all Department of Health and OLCC rules and regulations and maintain proper licenses for all F&B employees of the resort and for all events of the resort

FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Front of House lead, often F&B Manager
- Greets and seats guests according to prescribed Summit Grill protocols and cash and product control
- Responsible for delivering exceptional customer service at WLT by processing sales quickly, accurately, and efficiently. Assists throughout the front of house food and beverage outlet, interacting with guests and other employees to create a memorable dining experience
- Ensure that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment
- Greeting and acknowledging every guest, answering commonly asked questions and moving the guest through the transaction quickly
- Be familiar with all products, up-sell items and give recommendations according to current promotions
- Accurately ring in all items WHEN APP and adhere to department standards and accounting practices

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Summit Grill Back of the House Lead collaborates with the Manager of Food and Beverage and WLT President on employee training, assist in developing employee scheduling and Summit Grill menus and food products for approval by the WLT directors to ensure the F&B experience aligns with and contributes to resort-wide brand and culture goals. Experienced Cooks must understand the importance of personal hygiene, safe food handling practices and advanced culinary skills, and can train other staff members on it. Experienced Cooks require minimal supervision and will assist in direction and supervision of lower-level cooks to ensure all our Food and Beverage employees support company philosophy, goals, and objectives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follow prep specifications and menu specs accurately and with a sense of urgency
- Able to work multiple stations, work off prep list, and complete station setup in the time allotted
- Prepare items to standard during service and complete prep list for the next service period
- Direct food preparations to specification of the recipe. Read, understand, and follow recipes and standards
- Responsible for maintaining food and supply products inventories for the F&B operations by making timely orders for these products through WLT established vendors

Dishwashers clean and sanitize pots, pans, dishes and utensils in a timely manner. Dishwashers assist in preparing food, overseeing and providing trash removal, bussing tables and cleaning dining areas.

Servers are responsible for delivering products according to standards of service while maintaining efficiency, cleanliness, and an accurate accounting of sales. Wallowa Lake Tramway Servers must provide guests with fast, efficient food and beverage service while making guests feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible to ensure overall satisfaction with their dining experience.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Accurately handle cash, operate a POS system, adhere to Wallowa Lake Tramway discount procedures
- Consistently bus, expedite, provide water, and wait on tables to outlet standards
- Set-up, clean-up, and perform maintenance of server area, tables, entrance of restaurant, and all other front of house areas
- Serve guests in a friendly, engaging, courteous and accurate manner to achieve above average or excellent ratings on customer satisfaction surveys
- Support a “signature” drink and food program through suggestive selling and upselling
- Responsible for claiming 100% of tips made each shift on a Tip Report and for accurately completing paperwork at the end of each shift. Contribute 20% of total tips to the non-tipped employee daily fund.
- Accountable for maintaining accurate and appropriate inventories of server monitored products such as condiments, to-go utensils, lids, menus, and notifying front of house leader when items need to be ordered

Expeditors act as liaisons between cooks and wait staff. Their responsibility is to ensure that food orders are prepared in a timely manner while checking the orders for accuracy and finalizing additional requests to confirm the ticket is ready for serving.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be familiar with all menu items, products, sides, dressings, sauces, dishes, toppings, garnishes, entrees, food, beverage ingredients.
- Accurately arrange all orders according to the ticket.
- Be the bridge between FOH and BOH regarding food orders.
- Communicate clearly and calmly with all kitchen and wait staff.
- Fill in during server breaks
- Remain calm and task orientated during rush
- Have a pleasant demeanor and work well as a team with other staff members
- Perform opening and closing duties
- Rotate and keep products stocked throughout the day

The Lift Attendant is an exciting entry-level position which assists guests, technicians and other mountain department employees with a variety of tasks. Applicants will be taught and tested on most lift specific skills and terminology as they work to increase their own abilities while helping to achieve the department and company goals as permits a lift attendant.
- Load and unload Tramway guests

Overview
The lift maintenance apprentice is an exciting entry-level position which assists maintenance technicians and other mountain department employees with a variety of tasks. Apprentices will be taught and tested on most lift specific skills and terminology as they work to increase their own abilities as lift operator and maintenance apprentice while helping to achieve the department and company goals.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be 16 years or older
- Must have qualified and be proficient at Lift Attendant 1 and 2 duties
- Able to safely lift 75 pounds or more while also bending, twisting and stretching
- Able to safely climb and work on towers over 75 feet tall in a variety of weather and environmental conditions for multiple hours a day
- Verifiable mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Flexible schedule to be available for all work shifts
- Available to work weekends and holidays during the summer season
Essential functions and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Overview
The position requires expertise in mechanical systems and principles, troubleshooting, safe industrial work practices, aerial and surface lift specific maintenance procedures, familiarity with low voltage control systems and have the ability to work with minimal supervision. Be proficient in all the duties and responsibilities of the Lift Maintenance Assistant. Experienced Lift Mechanics must be able to do any task related to repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting an aerial lift.

EMPLOYMENT HIRING PROCEDURES
PRE-EMPLOYMENT SCREENING: The application will be used to assist our Department Managers/Supervisors in selecting candidates, to determine eligibility for employment with Wallowa Lake Tramway and preparing for interviews. You will be scheduled for a interview at a appropriate time.
